Learn Kurmanji

Sorry to all the Learn Kurmanji fans out there this post is late because I was doing a college visit yesterday.  This week I took notes for Lesson 8 and completed the exercises. Lesson 8 consisted of Present Perfect Tense and Pluperfect in the transitive and intransitive. In Kurdish both of these grammar concepts operate similarly to their English counterparts. The formation of these tenses is very similar to the past with transitive verbs still changing the subject to the oblique and agreeing with the object in the sentence as well as both intransitive and transitive verbs using the past tense verb stem. The only major difference is that in Kurmanji the Present Perfect Tense is also used for narration and hearsay. I also continued to expand my anki Kurmanji vocabulary deck. Right now I'm starting to read Lesson 9 and I'm planning out which other grammar anki decks I want to do and on which days this week.  Progress continues to be slow this week and I did not completed most of the things I set out to do this week. This week I continued to add cards to my Kurmanji vocab anki deck. I am still on track to completing my goals so long as I pick up the pace next week which I know I will have the time for because the projects for other classes I've been working on this week will be done then. This week I continued to read through chapter 8 and 9 but still haven't started any of the exercises for them yet. Next week I'll keep adding vocab and grammar cards to my anki decks. I might also hop on a call with a few native speakers and help them practice their English and they can help me practice my Kurmanji. I'm about 55% complete with this project.  Vocab Progress

I was slow to work on my project this week and I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. I read through the next lesson of the Kurmanji Kurdish for the Beginners book which covers how to conjugate verbs in the past and present perfect but I didn't take any notes or start the exercises for Lesson 8. I did however continue to expand my vocabulary by adding more words to my anki vocabulary deck. Next week I want to start, and hopefully finish, lesson 8 and it's associated exercises. Next week I'll also continue to add to my Kurmanji vocab anki deck and maybe complete a couple of the grammar anki decks along with it. As far as morale goes I've definitely gotten a bit of senioritis going on. I'm finding it more and more difficult to work on any of my schoolwork as I move further into the second semester.  This week I finished lesson 7 which mostly focused on the formation of verbs in the future tense. There are three different ways to express the future depending on whether or not the verb is transitive or continuous. I also continued to work on my Kurdish vocabulary anki deck and my Kurdish grammar anki decks. Right now I'm mostly focused on building my vocabulary and next week I'll dive into lesson 8 in the Kurmanji Kurdish for the Beginners book. I feel like I'm on track to complete everything I wanted to by the end of the year and I feel much more confident with learning and understanding things in Kurmanji. I thought that learning the language would be much harder than it has been. While there are still many things which I don't understand, the free resources and kind people I've found online have helped tremendously. I think that I'm about 40% of the way done with my project and I can't wait until I can actually start applying more of the things I'
