February Deliverables
I have managed to complete what I wanted to with this month's deliverables and I feel that I'm finally starting to understand Kurdish. I've been using a notebook to write down my notes and my book assignment in. I have attached pictures of those notes and assignments to this page. As I really begin to dive into verb conjugation in Kurdish which is radically different from any other language I've studied, I'm starting to realize that it actually makes a little bit more sense. Hardly any of the grammar concepts I've come across so far have a direct or even similar English equivalent which hasn't made things easy. My Anki flashcard practice has been keeping consistent. I add a few new cards everyday and keep up with my practice. Anki flashcard decks can never really be completed and there isn't any easy way to demonstrate progression due to the spaced repetition learning model the software is built on but I have started every deck and I'm keeping up on revisiting decks when I need to. The tandem app has also been a great asset in learning Kurmanji as I've been able to practice the new things I learn with native speakers who are willing to help me along. This first month of learning Kurmanji has been fun and I'm excited to keep it going.
Here's a photo of what my Anki setup looks like:
